Linhai generators have been manufactured in a joint venture with the Yamaha Company. This division is one of their (seven) specialist fields. Linhai has been designing, developing and producing generators and engines since 1956 and uses the latest technology from the USA, Japan and Germany. Since 2002 Smith Power Equipment has been providing parts and back-up to an extensive dealer network and the Linhai brand has become one of the leading brands in South Africa.
